Pottery Days and Clubhouse Hours
- Clubhouse Hours: Mondays 9.30am-5.00pm, Thursdays 9.30am-5.00pm, Fridays 9.30am-5.00pm, Saturdays 9.30-5.00pm and Sundays 2pm-5pm.
- Lock-up is handled by the last members to leave.
- Member Workshops: Usually held on a Tuesday or Saturday each month.
Membership Fees and Details
- Joining Fee: $50.00
- Annual Membership: $125.00
- Renewal: Due annually in January.
- Membership Form: Complete and keep contact info up-to-date with the President or Secretary. Communications are via email.
Makers Mark
- New Members: Draw your Makers Mark on the Membership form and check it against others to ensure uniqueness. This mark must be used on all work for firing.
Beginners and Induction
- Introduction Tour: New members will receive a tour of the clubhouse.
- Guidance: Available from members; also recommended to use online tutorials for additional learning.
Daily Attendance and Visitor Information
- Sign-In: Record your attendance in the book upon arrival.
- Fees: $50 joining fee and $125 annual membership (billed in January). Visitors (13+ years) pay $10 and can attend up to 3 times before joining.
Morning Tea
- Bring a plate to share if you wish. Tea and coffee are available. We typically take a break around 10:30 am.
Photo Gallery
- Member Photos: To participate, email a headshot to secretary@claydenpotters.org.
Library
- Books: A selection of pottery and creative art books is available for borrowing. Use the Borrow Book system to log items.
Potters Post
- Newsletter: We have a quarterly newsletter with updates, news, and workshop information. Submit suggestions or inclusions to the Secretary or President.
Clay Supplies
- Purchase: Clay is available for purchase via eftpos. Ask a committee member or clay team member to purchase. Clearly label your clay block with your name.
Firing Fees
- Bisque Firing: $4 per kg (1000°C)
- Mid Fire Firing: $7 per kg (MID/CONE 6, 1220°C)
- Billing: Fees are tallied monthly and invoiced. Payment is due within 7 days. Overdue fees may result in suspension of firing services. Large items may have longer firing times.
